Rachel P. Nicholas graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2009, with a B.A. in Political Science. After graduation, Ms. Nicholas taught second grade in Rocky Mount, North Carolina for two years through Teach For America. Ms. Nicholas received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014, where she served as the president of the Education Law and Policy Society and as a member of the Holderness Moot Court Bench. She is a member of the North Carolina Council of School Attorneys, the National Council of School Attorneys, and the Education Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
Rachel is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. She is happily married to Derrick Nicholas and resides in Durham, North Carolina.
