BRANDON L. McPHERSON
Brandon L. McPherson joined the firm in 2012 and practices exclusively education law. He is a member of the North Carolina Council of School Attorneys and the National Council of School Attorneys. In addition, he is an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Education Law Section, serving on the Section Council as well as the CLE and Nominations Committees. Mr. McPherson was selected as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 2017 in Schools and Education Law and is a member of 2017 North Carolina Bar Association’s Leadership Academy.
Mr. McPherson received his B.A. in Political Science, with honors, and a minor in Philosophy from North Carolina State University in 2007. He received his Juris Doctor from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 2011. During law school, Mr. McPherson was the president of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and served as Chairman for the Old Kivett Advocacy Council, in addition to interning with the North Carolina Department of Justice, Attorney General’s office and North Carolina General Assembly.
Mr. McPherson volunteers at GCF of Eastern North Carolina’s Community Farm, Neighbor2Neighbor, and Healing Transitions. He serves as a youth and confirmation leader at his church.
Mr. McPherson is happily married to his wife, Kelsey, and is the proud father of his son, Charlie. In his spare time, he enjoys running, playing tennis, and spending time with family.
